VietJet Air, a Vietnamese budget airline, has operated a new aircraft, with the
tail number of VN-A669, painted with a new logo for Vietnam tourism, at
Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCM City. This is the first
aircraft in Vietnam and the first in Vietnam with decoration of the
country's new official tourism logo.
The
new national emblem, a just opened five-petal lotus and the slogan,
"Vietnam-Timeless Charm", is painted on the aircraft head. The aircraft
fuselage is painted in the colours of red and yellow, representing the
national flag of Vietnam.
Hoang
Tuan Anh, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that this
initiative is VietJetAir's effort to promote tourism in Vietnam and its
commitment to Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) for the
period of 2012-2015. The aircraft, with its innovative logo and truly
Vietnamese colours, is expected to serve both Vietnamese and foreign
travellers as well as promote Vietnam’s images and its people.
It is
expected that other airplanes emblazoned with the country's new official
tourism logo and slogan will be put into service on domestic routes in a
couple of days for more flights and flight routes of Vietjet Air later
this month.
