US Airways Group Inc. will launch daily, nonstop service between Charlotte, N.C., and Honolulu on Dec. 17.
The flight will be on a Boeing 767 aircraft with seating for 18 in first-class and 186 in the main cabin.
Oahu is the third new nonstop destination from US Airways’ Charlotte hub to be added this year. In April, Tempe-based airline resumed service between the Charlotte and Paris-Charles de Gaulle airports. On Dec. 2, the airline will begin its first-ever service to South America with daily, nonstop flights between Charlotte and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Tempe-based US Airways (NYSE:LCC) operates more than 3,200 flights per day to 200 destinations.
